Hunterdon County 4H & Agricultural Fair 2025

The Hunterdon County Rug Artisans Guild was once again invited to exhibit rugs at the 2025 Hunterdon County 4-H & Agricultural Fair. Our colorful exhibit was expertly curated by Annie Edwards, Mary and JimPasserello, Linda Hannemann and Lucy Walsh.

A rug hooking demonstration was given by HCRAG members: Jeanne Surdi, 

Cindy Boults, Aggie Harris, KC Larsen and Lindy Ehly.

Rugs were judged by nationally known rug hooking instructors in four categories: Commercial Design, Original Design, First Rug, and 3-Dimensional, and First, second and third place ribbons were awarded in each category.

The judging criteria was based on Appearance and Technique, Quality of
Hooking, Borders and Finishing, Color Plan, Materials, Originality and Design. 

Judges were: Laura Kenyon (Seaside Rugs, Saunderstown, RI), Sarah Guiliani (Sarah’s Rug Hooking, South Portland, ME), Emily and Janet Williams (Corwyn Cottage Fiber Arts, Cumberland, ME)
