 We offer a mentoring program which will match you with a current member who will be able to help you with most things related to rug hooking, from providing advice and suggestions regarding a rug that you are working on, to helping explain Guild programs, events or activities. New and experienced rug hookers alike, can also benefit from a mentor providing information regarding local resources, including open studios, suppliers, teachers, etc. We hope that you will opt to take advantage of this worthwhile opportunity!  The Hunterdon County Rug Artisans Guild meets on the second Friday of the month from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Our meetings normally consist of a short business meeting, a “show & tell” portion and a program on some aspect of rug hooking. Refreshments are provided by Guild volunteers. Members are encouraged to bring their rug hooking equipment and to work on their latest project. Guests are always welcome to attend a meeting before joining the Guild. 

The Guild offers demonstrations to local organizations throughout the year.

 In the past, we have had problems regarding meeting cancellations due to inclement weather. We live all over the place; so many members experience weather conditions different from those happening in Flemington. After much discussion, it was decided that the President and several other members would make the decision to cancel the meeting due to weather conditions.

This decision will be made by 8am on the day of the meeting, and notification will be sent to members via email blast.

**It is up to each member to check their email before leaving home.**
**It is up to those who do not have email to call someone who does.**

It may be much worse where you live than in Flemington, or it may be much worse in Flemington than where you live. If you have any trepidation about coming to a meeting, don’t come. Nothing will happen at a meeting that is worth you risking your life, your health, your car, your blood pressure, your sanity.
